1. Why Rahab rather help the enemy than defend her own country?
A:“I know that the Lord has given this land to you and that a great fear of you has fallen on us, so that all who live in this country are melting in fear because of you” (Joshua 2:9)
Only the people who can truly trust God and act on their convictions are able to receive the blessing of the Lord.
2.Why did Joshua have to circumcise the men who had entered the land?
A:“ At that time the Lord told Joshua, “Make flint knives and circumcise the Israelites once again. So Joshua made flint knives and circumcised the Israelites on the Hill of the Foreskins”. (Joshua 5:2-3)
The men went out from Egypt, who did not obey to the Lord, came to an end. The Israelites who were allowed to enter the Promised Land had to undergone the circumcisions for the obedience to the God’s command.
